Dr. Dickerman, D.O., Ph.D. has a brain tumor fellowship from The National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.) and trained under world-renown neurosurgeon Dr. Ed Oldfield. Dr. Dickerman has a particular interest in primary and metastatic brain tumors. He is a member of the American Brain Tumor Association and The Pituitary Society and has performed hundreds of surgeries for brain tumors and pituitary adenomas. His extensive research in brain tumors and neuroendocrinology continues today (www.pubmed.com). Dr. Dickerman has patients visit from throughout the country. For patients with brain tumors it is essential to have a network of neurosurgeons, oncologists and radiation oncologists that can offer a comprehensive treatment plan for the patient. For brain tumor patients Dr. Dickerman-North Texas Brain and Spine Institute offer a comprehensive treatment plan
from day-one that is specifically catered to the patient: including
image-guided brain surgery, one of seven intraoperative mri's in the united states,
brain lab navigation for tumors, postoperative chemotherapy and radiation at numerous locations
throughout the Dallas area. The patient may also be offered postoperative
rehabilitation with certified therapists trained neuro-rehabilitation.
For spine patients there is a comprehensive
treatment plan designed from the initial visit. Each spine patient
is unique and can be provided complete and comprehensive spine
care. This includes physical medicine and rehabilitation, injections,
physical therapy, pain management, chiropractic and surgery. Approximately
90% of the patients can be treated successfully without surgery.
If surgery is required, Dr. Dickerman can provide minimally invasive

Dr. Dickerman has hospital priviledges throughout the North Dallas
Area. Dr. Dickerman is currently involved in several clinical
trials including an artificial cervical disc, implanted-chemotherapy
for brain tumors and minimally invasive pedicle screws.
